The Periodic Review is the mandatory inspection carried out by an accredited inspection body of the user’s internal gas installation, within a minimum period of 4 years and 7 months and a maximum period of 5 years, and carried out in compliance with the regulations and current technical regulations.

Is a mandatory inspection in conformity to Resolution 067 of 1995 of the Energy and Gas Regulation Commission (CREG, for its acronym in Spanish), modified by resolution CREG 059 of 2012.

The periodic review of internal installations has 3 stages:

1. Check Up

It is the mandatory and periodic inspection carried out by an accredited inspection body of the internal gas installation. It is the responsibility of the user, who is free to contract the revision with Gases del Caribe S.A. E.S.P. or with any inspection body accredited to the ONAC.
It consists of different hermeticity, leakage and operation tests to guarantee compliance with the required technical and safety conditions.

2. Repair

It is not possible to issue a certificate of conformity when the user must make adjustments to their installation to comply with technical regulations. In the event that failures are found in the Review or that the installation does not meet the defined standards, Gases del Caribe S.A. E.S.P. is obliged to suspend the service until the corresponding repair works are carried out and the standards defined in the technical regulations are met.

3. Certification

Once it is confirmed that the installation is technically safe and complies with all standards. Gases del Caribe S.A. E.S.P. or the contracted inspection body, issues a certificate of conformity or report of conformity inspection results, which is delivered a copy to the user and is registered with Gases del Caribe S.A. E.S.P. (if issued by an Agency), who in their role as distributor must guarantee that their users have this certificate.
